So around 2,700-3,000 rpm I get have an annoying drone/resonance coming from the passenger side exhaust. I took it into the dealership the week I purchased the car (3 weeks ago) and they said it was missing an exhaust hanger. I thought that was odd since the exhaust appears to look normal and hangs straight.

So I take a look underneath and here are the two passenger side hangers:





Looks normal to me.

Clearly the dealer either didn't care to figure out what the problem was or some how I misunderstood what their diagnosis was (which I doubt).

Thoughts?

 

i have a pretty bad drone too.... but i have a invida exhuast....

This is either the most well placed forms of sarcasm I've seen in a few days or....

 

have you checked for any cracks in your exhaust piping? loose bolts at the cat section?

i do agree that sounds strange
