Default Stock header vs. Aftermarket header

How are our stock header compared to an aftermarket header? I know there would be a performance difference, but would there be a big difference in performance? Would an aftermarket exhaust add more power than an aftermarket header would? What about the material its made of?

Most of the aftermarket headers gain no more than 1 to 3 overall horsepower. Some do offer power gains in the mid range. Mugen has been shown to have 6 to 12 horsepower mid range gains. Only single exhausts offer any gains and its not much. Mostly done for sound or weight loss.

I have the invidia exhaust it's dual and it has a dyno sheet that says +3.7hp

Regardless you aren't going to feel it whatever you get, The real benefits are with the weight reduction, it's going to weigh atleast half what the stock unit weighs. Getting exhaust and header done is like kicking a 8 year old child out of your car

That's great. However, this thread is about header gains, which you don't list

anytime you changeengine components you need to tune like the above post with the dyno sheet. if you just slap on a headder or exhaust there will be minimal if any difference. all of the name brand exhausts, headders and intakes have a comment on the side that says that along with that ecu tuning has been done. like J's claims a 14hp gain with their exhaust WITH their ecu

Do you have to whore every single thread that has the word header in it and push yours? I would think it belongs in the FOR SALE forum
