has anyone removed the resonator on the stock exhaust? If so.. how did it sound and what were the downs to it if any? Preferably ap2 please but ap1 would be good also..

 

I had mine removed on my s2k for about 20 bucks. Not worth the money and cutting up the stock exhaust if you ask me. Little to no sound difference.

 

A little louder,no HP gains there.

I paid $20 to remove mine (AP1). Definately gave me what I wanted. Just adds a little more grunt to the sound... I could tell a difference- inside and out.

Because I like the look of the stock exhaust and I spend time in places where a cat-back would definately be frownded upon, I was satisfied.

I got mine done for free, so no downside for me. I like it, enough for me to tell the difference, but my g/f still doesn't realize I changed anything....I would like to go a little louder though.
