I was almost through your post before I realized you were talking about the 'cover'. Hell, I thought they stole your car! I'm not trying to be insensitive but if it were me, I say take the cover... just don't take the car or hurt the car. I'd say you were lucky they didn't do any damage.

Excellent idea!
I plan to have my initials or plate number sewed outside the cover in block letters next time. My local tailor should be able to do this.

Taht sucks about your car cover. Did you lock your car cover using the cable and padlock???

I agree on marking the car cover. It also allows security to identify the vehicle. If you live in a building with a basement garage they are a little more nervous about covered cars now since 9-11.

I had a car cover torn on another car when parked on my company lot because security wasn't sure about it.
