Why wouldn't you use the car cover at work again?
That is the area of most exposure for teh car? More dore dings, more eyes to inspect the car, more punks per square mile.......yikes.

I worked at a mall, and brought my S all the time. Parked in the parking structure AND covered it. Never had an issue. Even had a Civic get its window smashed, 2 spaces away from me! That was close.

Get the car cover, use the car cover. It is your friend. Fights dings, and really does help to "hide" the car.

You don't get it.

I said the cover had ALOT of benefits. Door ding prevention was just ONE of the benefits.

Try to imagine how many people you are exposing your car to when you go to the mall. Now re-read the part about parking in the structure w/ cover and having zero problems - including antenna theft (which you seem to be battling). You've gotta try to hide the car better, IMO.

So, listen to what is stated......or don't.

Good luck in your quest.

Sorry about your antennas. I think it could be happening at either place. I use to live inapt complex by the orlando airport and every week someones car was getting messed with. I had a 95 TT Supra at the time, and I was really nervous leaving the car out at night until I got a garage.
One day my buddy and I chased down a kid on his bike stealing everyones chrome valve stem covers from the gym parking lot. Needless to say he learned his lesson because we scared the hell out of him.
When I purchased my car the antenna was missing as well. I hope this does not become a trend in FL.
Like others have mentioned, I would get a car cover because of its many advantages.

I got tired off constantly unscrewing my damn antenna( and looking weird as well) and then screwing it back in everytime I went somewhere. I decided to epoxy it and I'm glad I did, now I know some MTF isn't going to snag it, and if they damage it (which would be pretty obvious to someone passing by) the hell with it. I'll deal with that when the time comes. As for the car cover question, yes most have antenna pockets in them.

I was thinking about the glue route. Is this wise? Seems like this could potentially lead to greater vandalism. Just my 02....

See, this is pretty much my feelings on the matter. I think I'm going to give this a shot. I do believe that I will be investing in a car cover in the very near future as well. Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions!

The s2k antenna is a VERY common upgrade on the 350Z's too. I'v got one, 25 bucks from honda.

The stock antenna makes the Z look like an RC car, so freakin long.
