Sounds like a planned" hit". The thief sees your car and follows you home and returns to take your car at a later date. The parts may have been sold prior to the theft. The thief takes your car when he has acquired enough sales to make the risk versus reward acceptable. Scary, but this type of thief does exist.

 

ppl suc ...to do that to someone is sad ..and they will pay i'm sure ten times what the car cost ...no one gets away from the one above
