Default Stolen red S2000

Well, it happened, my neighbor's red S2000 got stolen. We're down here in South Florida, Ft Lauderdale, and they took it right out of the parking lot of our condo complex. It was a pristine example, a New Formula red, MY2008 with 28 thousand miles. She never redlined it, she always took care of it, and the thieves took it, most likely with a flatbed, they stripped the interior to the bare metal, took off the trunk and the hood, took the rims and tires, took the bumpers, and left the car in a parking lot.

If anyone sees any of these parts floating around let me know. Also, is the vin tagged on the bumpers? how about the hood and trunk?

thanks, and be careful.

Wow, that sucks. They did all this in an apartment complex and no one saw or did anything? Yikes!

There are stickers on ALL OEM panels with the VIN # but these can be removed. Look under your trunk and you will see a white sticker with the VIN, the same sticker is on both fenders towards the fron and on the bumpers at the hoods edge on the front bumper and just inside the trunk next to the passenger tail light for the rear.

yea, no one in our small little complex saw anything. There are only 15 units in our building anyway, and only half are filled. The worst part is that we live in one of the nicest, quietest neighborhoods in Ft Lauderdale, with people regularly walking their dogs and children all around us, and yet, someone just went up and took it.

I'm, sorry for your communities loss. Sometimes lojack seems like a good option.

That sucks... It sounds like someone is either looking to upgrade their own car or to someone else. way too specific...

That sucks. Post an email in case you don't come to the forum often.

that sucks for sure, we just had two thefts in the past month here. if you see any parts, tell the owner or OP via pm. someone posted the parts from the first theft on craigslist, posted up the links here and when everyone started calling and sending emails, the listings where taken off and no one could get a hold of the seller.

Was there an alarm installed, seat locks, or wheel locks? Just curious as I am taking those steps.
