I will never buy another new car without putting this stuff on. My g/f just got a '02 RSX type S, we put the stuff on from Speed 2000. My buddy got a CL-S, put one on from Speed, another buddy with the 2002 accord, got one from Speed as well...

I've seen some really good installs of the StonGard product but be careful, not all installs are done right. Definitely get someone that is experienced. Also, the quality of the cutting makes a big difference, I've seen some (off brand) kits that don't even properly cover the paint (one looked like it was cut by hand).

I too had the "crazed headlight" problem along with another Atlanta board member. Can't say difinitively that it was caused by the StonGard product. I heard that there was some testing going on but sounds like it was inconclusive. It's possible that the polycarbonate headlights can have issues, just not sure if the pressure sensitive adhesive speeds up the problem.

I've gotten chips all over my car and unless I could cover all the paint with a film protectant chips will still happen. One day I was driving to work and the car next to me threw a large rock up and it hit square in the middle of my passenger door. A protective film would not have helped me in that case. However, 80% of the paint chips are in areas where the film is applied so you'll at least get that protection.

Good luck.

How much of the car is covered by the $250 dollar kit. Just the front end, partial or full hood, etc?

Do these films have a hole cut for the front "H" emblem??? I have mine shaved, so would I need to special order?

I have a friend who makes vinyl graphics and is excellent at applying them to cars. If I order just the film, will it be any different to install than vinyl?

I also am interested. What does the kit include? What is the material?
Thanks.

I've had Chipguard (local version) on my car since the day after I took delivery. I also live on a dirt road.

No chips, 0 none. I had my headlights, hood, bumper done and I'm thinking about the mirrors now to.

Great stuff, never get another vehicle without it.

That gets you the hood, fenders, mirrors and bumper. Don't spread this around since I am cutting the throats of your local installers who would like to make some mark up on the kits. Retail is $480. PM for more info

I actually just first time spoke with David on the phone today regarding about the stoneguard. It sounds very interesting. I have a couple questions and I hope I will have some inputs.

1. which one is better between stoneguard and xpel?

2. If I decide to take the clear bra off later, will it leave marks or anything on my car?

3. what is the headlight cracking problem you are all talking about?

Please advice because I think I'll be buying the stoneguard from David on monday if everything sounds good.

Thanks
