Thanks for all the replies guys...

As for my cell phone drama....
WHOOOOHOOO!
Apparently in my little phone ding...uhmmmm FUMBLE....
the battery went south on me...BUT...
took it to some techs who were very COOL...they set me straight with a COUPLE! of batteries and not just a temp replacement for my troubles...
gotta love FREE stuff, eh?

Muz,
I asked the tech about your tip and SIM cards...
you shoulda seen the look on his face...
"damn this guy knows alot about PHONES!!"
hopefully he did a better job for me since you made me look smart about phones...

he informed me that "SIM cards" are used primarily in GSM phones.."omnipoint?", etc...which seems consistent with what bbsilver was saying...

devious...you were right about the powering up bit as I got lucky....
I guess now I know to have a written backup....
and to think....
ALLLLLLL the LADIES who I would NOT have been able to call as a result of the phone memory loss....THEY'll be sooo HAPPY....
hahaha

uhhhm, I don't remember many of the details in that movie....MAINLY those w/ "nyah" in them....hehehe
Mmmmmm....NYAH,(Thandie Newton?), is HOT!!!!
I think I'll rent it tonight...
speaking of movies though, did you or anyone else here see "The Saint" w/ Val KIlmer????
I would LOVE to get my hands on that Nokia phone/flip computer thingy....it is a phone that you turn sideways and then open it in half and it doubles as like a mini laptop allowing internet/email access?...
*BPearl drools*
lemme know if any of y'all know if this Nokia item exists...
BTW, what are some other GOOD espionage movies with cool gadgets....
what's the good word from the Siskel and Eberts out there?

Have a look in the drink holder.

It's the Nokia 9110. I just noticed they've now released the 9210 with colour:
<A HREF="http://www.nokia.com/phones/9210/index.htmlom/phones/9210/index.htmlotely. And it has great calender, SMS, and WAP functions. It's also handfree when you are using it in the open position.

Mind you, it's so big by modern standards I now also have a Nokia 8210 which I take when I'm going out. The 9110 sits in the boot of the car for emergencies.

Guys:

Man, you don't log on one day and the best topic starts! Ha!

I emailed cthree about offering fellow S2000online members discounts on Sprint PCS phones, service and accessories!

I have a Samsung 8500 with the hands free kit in my S2000 and it is VERY nice!

I work for Sprint PCS as a Retail Manager for the Jacksonville market. . .if you want something from Sprint PCS, just email me and I'll give you a great discount. . .just for driving an S2000! Ha! Not bad, I guess we can't complain about paying above MSRP for the car anymore when we have GREAT perks like these!

The new Nokia 8260 is so small, I just keep it in my front pocket or on the console while driving with the earbud in my ear. Seems to work pretty well.

Hey guys,
I've been looking for a better mounting solution than what i'm using so far.
Rick, do you have better pics of your mount?

Pinky, what did you help someone else install?

I've been mounting my nokia 8260 on the vent, which blocks the vent, obviously. Looking for a better solution.

any ideas?
