Well put. Good, balanced and non-insulting post about a sensitive issue.

And TypeR... don't worry, you're not the first one. This board balances on a thin line, trying to mix some pretty diverse demographics with unique cultures (folks who bought the S2K 'cause it's the Phattest Honda, folks who bought the S2K because it's the highest performance roadster for the money, folks who bought the S2K 'cause they wanted a cute convertible and folks who bought the S2K 'cause they want to kick ass on the track). As a result, uncomfortable moments like this are bound to occur (and have, in fact, occurred in the past). My advice is to take it in stride and keep on representing your unique demographic and culture (while, of course, respecting the other demographic and cultural groups making up this board).

sorry if you got offended but sometimes my responses are sarcastic, and i will never buy an nsx, way over priced, just wanted to see how many people here are like u r, no offense just my view of some people, if this is not a good thread explain all the responses and why are you posting on it, productive threads belong in under the hood, this is car talk and as it is explained on the main page "Discussions related to the S2000, its ownership and enthusiasm for it."
key word ownership, since i will be owning one i guess i can start a thread about what ever i want to talk about the s2k!
Yes i am younger and if it wasnt killing you, you would not mention it! I dont think i am better than anyone, but it sure seems to have some effect on you... All i am here for is to learn and have fun so why all the old guy talk hunh!!!
if you are not a modarotor,(which u r not) then dont read and dont post on my threads if they are so offensive to you!

I never said your thread was not good. I just said that a lot of people like productive threads... Yep, you can post whatever you like. And I can't answer for why people are responding to this thread... I would vote NO on stopping the S2000 for 01. But I don't confine my posts to only the productive threads...

Your age doesnt bother me a bit. In fact, you brought up the fact that you are 20. Like I said, anyone can finance anything. Doesn't mean squat. Your NSX comment merely showed your maturity (or lack thereof). All that was missing was a NEENER NEENER NEENER...

I'm merely pointing out the obvious... its not like I need to analyze what you post... I'm all for discussion, but I don't see what your NSX comment has to do with the S2000.

Seems to me, you are the one that gets "defensive"... these aren't personal attacks by any means... sorry you are so touchy...

I do get a kick out of your threads though, so please keep them coming...

As far as I'm concerned this summation is in the public domain and I'm more than happy for people to repost it at will. I would have posted it myself except I was afraid of repeating myself.

I have no ill feelings towards anyone who brings up the 'imminent halt to production' rumour, but I do find it totally annoying. I guess it's quite natural for a new owner to want to believe their latest purchase is rare, or, if it was the lynch pin of their buying decision, to have it supported by fellow owners. But it is kind of naive.

Mybe we should compile a list of threads covering this is and post it everytime one of these rumours starts.

Or maybe I should just ignore them

not touchy, maybe you just forgot what twenty feels like, young, energetic, and lots to learn(i know i have a lot of that to do) but does not change the fact that i am enjoying my twenties and that is all that matters to me, peace!!! And if i lack such MATURITY how come you sunk to this level and did not stop like a mature(i guess you think you are)person would to this discussion. So i guess i will have to be the mature one and say, lets make the posts and replies about what they are and not about me or how young i am... If you are mature enough it ends right here.

Aus, if you read his response to one of my posts, he says he was only kidding about the NSX, or something to that effect...

Of course, I'm 26 and being mature I won't respond to his last post. But, the sad thing is that he just insulted a great number of people on this forum...

Yeah, I saw it, but it still doesn't make sense. If you weight his comments by this example it basically means that anything he has said carries a credibility rating of 0.

It is for this very reason that this particular 32yo isn't offended by anything he might've said. And also the reason I will be avoiding his threads in future.

Typer_00, when I was in my 20's I spent a lot less time behind the computer. You should try it.

Good idea... I sent him a PM wishing him success in the future and to enjoy the gifts he has at this age...

also, told him I have no problems with him and called a truce...

And they say I'm not a social person
