Storage and reformulated gas
Living in Wisconsin winter storage is an unfortunate annual event. I have always subscribed to the concept of storing the car with an absolutely full tank. Knowing that the shelf life of the crappy reformulated gas we use here is poor, I always run the tank super low and fill up two counties away where they have 'real' gas, (then top off with it when I park it for good.)
Now the premium grade 'real' gas has dropped to 90 octane. It's currently parked empty and I now wonder what to do.... If I fill up with the 90 octane 'real' gas what is the best alternative for additive to bump the octane at least to the minimum of 91. I will obvously have a full tank of it and will need to run that come spring and I have concern over it being 90.
Your thoughts....
Thanks!

Just buy a fuel stabilizer and you will be fine come spring.

Chevron reports on their website there gas is good for a year. Get a fuel stabilizer in there and let it be.
We have friends who have an accord in europe. It sits unused for 9-12 months at a time. For the last 10 years they've done no more than leave it filled up and garaged it. No issues.
I suspect until you're going well beyond 12 months all these extra work is truly over kill.

So what you are saying is that I am better off going with the 93 octane reformulated gas with sta-bil, rather than screw around with the 90 octane 'real' gas and try and octane boost it??
Thanks for your assistance!
