When the exhaust system is modified on a Honda S2000, the car's ECU (computer) reads that there is an error and kicks your check engine light on. Not only does this keep you from knowing when there is a REAL problem with your S2k but it causes the motor to run rich which is when the ECU dumps extra fuel into the motor to try and correct the problem and safe guard the engine by robbing it of horsepower. So you end up loosing all the HP gained from the exhaust and cat removal.

The Tech2K Eliminator keeps the car running 100% at normal conditions, with or without the cat in place and regardless of what high flow exhaust you choose. It tells the ECU that everything is fine in the exhaust department and it won't interfere with any other sensors (Meaning if there is another problem with the car your check engine light will still go on). I'm not sure but I'm interested in a response too. A straight pipe is probably the first mod I'll do to my S.

 

why not just buy a straight pipe and get an 02 dummy simulator for like 10 bucks...... i have his pm somewhere in my pm box i gotta go look it up....

What brand, how much, and where did you get it? How'd you curb the check engine light?

 

get the t1r test pipe.. it's like 99 bucks.. from www.aj-racing.com .... and for the o2 simulator thingie pm the guy i noted above...

 

Except I'd just do the mechanical O2 simulator. I've been running it on my T1R test pipe and no CEL. Check out the link below for details on how this cheap mod works!

This statement clearly shows that whoever wrote it did NOT do his homework. The O2 sensor in the cat only tells the ECU how well the cat is working and what condition it's in. It DOES NOT use this signal to run the engine.

What kind of money are these guys charging for their "straight pipe" and O2 simulator? Like already posted, you can get the T1R test pipe for about 100 bucks, spend another few bucks to make your own mechanical O2 simulator. Don't buy into the hype unless there is a price advantage, ESPECIALLY in light of the stupid statement above.
