Default To strake or not to strake...

I CAN'T make up my mind if I should install side strakes or not. I like the look of the OEM strakes (not crazy about Comptech) but with the drilling the holes and rumors of them popping out...I can't decide. Any testimonials either way?

Thanks.

The OEM strakes look good, but they are probably the worst thing the Honda engineers ever designed. Since I had my entire car repainted, I opted to take them off while I had the chance.

Personally I think the OEM strakes are butt ugly! That's just my opinion. I do like the OEM front and rear spoilers though

I agree with s2000raj. The OEM front and rear spoilers look real nice! I'm about to order some up as soon as I can figure out a good place to ship them. The strakes I can do without. Besides (no pun intended), I'm not a huge fan of drilling holes into the quarter-panel of my S2K.

Do the side strakes only if you have the front and rear OEM spoilers. It gives the car a fuller, more complete look.

Just make sure you measure carefully and use the correct drill bits. There's no reason for these to fall off without something hitting it while you're on the move if the install's done right.

I had my dealer do it. I love 'em. They definitely grew on me.

I have both the front and rear spoilers and if I did it would definitely have the dealer do it. How long have you had them on without having problems with them?

Thanks again...

Go with the strakes since you have the OEM Rear Spoiler and OEM Front Lip. They will give the S the finished look without being to ricey.

Go with the strakes. I have the OEM front, strakes & spolier and I think it looks great. Tell me what you think......

By the way, my left side strake came off once (long story) and Honda charged me $15 to put it back on (that included that price of some clip they had to order).
