stuck in a hail storm.
ok, here's the deal. I was in Az last week and they had a pretty bad storm. It started hailing. I couldn't find shelter. My car has dents. Does insurance cover that? thanx.
Just an updat if anyone is interested. $3500 in damage and they want to repaint the whole car. They swear that they have already done a spa yellow and can match the paint. Kind of a bummer. Three weeks w/ out my car
Oh well, I guess it's good for my mileage.

whatever you do don't repaint. You wont be satisfied. Take the check and get paintless dent repair.. Just trust me if you dont have to repaint dont. Everyone promises that your car will match. Afterwards the excuse will be... your car is x number years old and it is impossible for us to get it perfect, and trust me the second time they have to paint the car to match.... they will even be more careless than the first. The most annoying problem though is the paint lines. 99 percent of shops will mask off rather than remove pieces like door handles, window seals, door trim, tailights, headlights,etc... etc... etc..
Another problem is paint prep. 99.9999 percent of shops do shoddy prep work. If all the edges are not sanded and cleaned well it will cause the paint to poorly adhere and eventually crack and peel.

I just had my bumper repaired/painted. In the sunlight it looks as perfectly matched as the factory paint. Under florescent light, it looks darker, more purple. The metal-flake is also just a bit larger, but it surely beats the gouges that were in it. At any rate, if the paint fades or flakes, it's covered for the lifetime of the car. If they can do this well on the Suzuka, you should be as fortunate with the Spa. Good luck.
Sorry to hear of your misfortune. If there is a paintless dent removal service around you I would definely check that out first. If it can be repaired without repainting that is the way to go. If it has to be repainted make sure you go somewhere good. Sooo many shops do crappy work. I had to have most of the right side of my car painted. Took it to colors on parade. They were cheaper than the normal body shops and the paint matches perfectly.
Wish you the best.
