Default stupid idea or not

i was in petco last night and i noticed that the reptile tanks have those stickers on the outside to tell the temp.
so would it have any use to use it on the inside of the windshield as an outside temp.
i'll assume it loses its accuracy when you change the temp on the inside.
i thought it would be cool if it showed if it was like 37 deg so you know to drive careful in case of ice. but their sticker temp thing only goes down to 64 deg. wonder if there is a colder range version..

My 7 series used to beep at me and let me know when it was 37 degrees outside.

I'd go with one of these

It has a wired probe that you could run to wherever which measures the outside temperature.
I recall them having another model that was half as wide that only had external temp for a few bucks less... thats what I would get if I could find it.

I've been doing that for 4 yrs now. it was ok in the begining but I don't think it works now.

btw, it's hard to beat $1.99 temp.

I also looked for lower temp range but no luck... at least not yet.
