Unforgiven,
Welcome to the board! Congrats on the ride!
1. The on/off switch is the power window locks. You can set the window(s) (not sure if this is true also for the driver side window...) not to open.
2. Have fun!!!!

ps: have you found the secret compartment?

Yea, no such thing as "stupid newbie questions" although some members on this board will get on your case for not using the search function.

But in any case, go find that secret compartment.

And welcome and congrats. Enjoy the car.

I don't know if i would go that far, but these aren't stupid!
One time I must have clicked that switch by accident while getting out of my car. Then, later in the day I tried to put my windows down and they wouldn't go down. I did a search on s2ki.com and found some people were having some minor electical problems that would keep the windows from going down. I went out to my car and looked around and tried the windows a few more times. I then called my dealer and scheduled an appointment for them to look at my electrical system. Right after doing this a little light bulb went off and I ran outside and checked the switch. Sure enough I must have bumped it with my arm. That would have been embarassing!! The really dumb this is it keeps the driver from being able to put their window down too...real dumb.

Good luck with the car...and finding the secret compartment!!
