First off, hello & welcome to the S.

1. Pull the black ringed clips out (on the right side of the trunk under the tire cover)

2. Remove carpeted cardboard tire cover piece - Give it some love, it'll come out

3. Reach over the tire to the center & uncrew (lefty-loosey) the big wingnut

4. Lift up tire & gently guide it rearward

5. If your front blew, you're okay -

6. If your rear blew, put the spare on the front, and the good front tire on the rear.

7. Shove the bad one in the trunk, may have to remove tool kit.

Thanks for the reply, I thought those rings were for pulling, but didn't want to break anything on the S.

Yep, the little black rings are attached to serrated plastic pins. They just pull straight out.

they are but wouldn't you rather have a bigger contact patch on your drive wheels? Think of how thin the spare is compared to your rear wheel, then think of the front.

More importantly, the spare is too short to go on the back. The mismatched tire diameters will screw up the diff. That's why Honda wants you to put the front tire on the back. It's very close in diameter to the rear tires.
