Default Stupid Question

Hey, how ya guys doing? I've been browsing the boards for quite awhile, and just registered after picking up my S last month (04 NFR - the longest 2 year wait of my life ) Anyway, I had a quick question...
I noticed one night pushing it that if you let the tach go slightly past the indicated 8k, it illuminates red. Did I hit the limiter or is it almost a warning and the tach (as all) is slightly off? I felt no jerk, no sudden stop, just shifted. Just curious because that would be a really nice thing at the track

Thanks

Ryan

Its just an early warning saying that you are about to hit the redline . I belive it starts flashing 300rpms before the fuel is going to be cut, but I'm not exactly sure on that part.

Sounds believable to me...
Now that it's broken in, will the addiction of giving the car a little gas ever wear off? I almost feel bad for her Just traded in my SI and that thing was a snooze to drive compared to the S.

Funny, mine doesn't start flashing until slightly past 9K
