3/8 + full set of sockets, and a 1/2 + an adapter for the important suspension parts such as the axle nuts

Also, regardless of which wrench you end up with, try to get 6 point sockets. I once ended up rounding off an overtightened oil drain bolt with a 12 point socket + breaker bar.
12-Points are the vain of my existence -.-

I have a 1/2 in socket wrench so it can share sockets with my Impact gun... I have 1/2 in sockets that go down to something like 6mm so it works great for me

I have three torque wrenches. I use the 1/2" drive 10-150ft/lb most. The newer3/8 drive wrenches have both SAE and metric markings on them. Inch/pounds & Newton/meters on one and ft/lb & M/JCS on the other.

My main suggestion for you is get one of the adjustable wrenches that you do not have to look at. You dial in the torque that you want and it clicks when you reach that setting.

i would think the range of the torque wrench would actually determine the size of the drive. you are not going to have a 100 ft/lbs torque wrench with a 1/4" drive nor are you going to have a 40 inch/lbs torque wrench with a 1/2" drive. just have adapters for going +/- of 1/4" 3/8" and 1/2" for your torque wrenches.

Drive size isn't that important. However, since the car is Japanese, you absolutly need to make sure you get the metric version. LOL
