Default Stupid Seat Question

I know this sounds dumb, but does the passenger seat slide. Mine is all the way back and does not seem to slide forward. Nothing about in the manual. I've had my 02 for bout a month now, and I don't want to break the thing if its not suppose to slide forward.

Yes it slides just like the driver's seat. Pull the lever in the front of the seat, in the same location as the driver's seat, and push the back of the chair foward.

The s2k seats aren't the easiest to slide (not smooth and they tend to stick), so just give it some force and it'll move.

Yeah, try sitting in it and making it slide. If that doesnt work, push it from behind the seat with your hand on the bottom part of the seat.

Thanks for the help. I sat in the seat and tried to slide forward fairly hard. No such luck. I will try pushing on the back of the seat near the base and see what happens. The level is pulling up fine and still has tension so I imagine the release is working right. Its just stuck real good I suppose.

See if there's anything stuck in the seat rails...I guess you might need a small mirror and a flashlight to see under there. Could be a coin, or something.

Funny you should post this. About a month ago I was in the same spot you were. I found that there was nothing stuck in the rails and that the seat was just stuck for some reason. I sprayed some white lithium grease from an aerosol can all over inside the rails and then sat in the seat and jerked it forward as hard as I could. Ever since then... worked like a charm. Way smoother than my drivers side so I lubed that one up good too. I suggest anyone do it. It certainly couldn't hurt.

I had my seats out of the car a few weeks back and saw that if you don't line up the rails to the anchor holes correctly, you would get a sticky move. Undo one set of rails while the other is anchored and shift the rail front/back so the holes line up better.
