Default stupido question, those who has vafc.

those with vafc unit...

anyone who has it hooked up to the car, but not installed it anywhere?
i'm thinking of getting one, but i don't want to put the display anywhere,
say stick it up on the dash or install it in the radio door.

is it possible to just stick it into the net in the passenger side or just leave it
under the seat?

I had mine under the seat for a bit, i don't see why not if you dont' want it showing. You can put it anywhere you want.

hey Sung

i installed mine in the radio door but you can toss it under the seat or in the net (although the pressure of the net might push some buttons) .. PycoBen placed his in his visor. i hardly every look at mine anymore.

oh and Jenner placed his behind the e-brake where his coin tray was..

come to our tech day and you'll see a few different options

Best

I also have mine in the radio door. Works good there and it is not flopping around and the buttons will not get accidentally pressed. I have known folks that have put them under the seat though.

Ok this is another dumb question, but what kind of gains did you all see after installing it? Was there a significant gain in power? Oh and I would put mine under the seat as well.

I think putting it in the visor is a very good option cause when you have you visor up, no one can tell its there. But when you want to see it all you have to do is fip it down.

Gains... from 2-almost 20 hp gains at some points... 2-10 torque at some points... Average gains across were 6-8 conservatively speaking. The beauty of vafc isn't gain at peak, but gains across the curve.

As for install... I put double sided tape with velcro on the vafc, other side on the bottom of my seat. Just stuck it where the cardboard starts underneath the driver seat.

The biggest PITA is that the VAFC harness is far and prevents you from putting the kickpanel in flush like before.. so it hinders your ability to use the deadpedal a bit.
