I purchase a Clarion Subwoofer PSW160 with amp from Carmedia1.com. They call me today and told me there on back order. Should ship late next week (riiiight!). Anybody else waiting for their subwoofer?

I have one too, but not yet installed. Charlie (NJ) has a friend that installed it under the drivers seat who is very happy, I talked to him over the phone he does not post.

Well, I just took a break from work and since I have the sub in my trunk, I thought I'd see if I could shove it under the passenger seat.

The good news is that it looks like it'll fit...

The Bad news is that it's going to require taking the seat out.

No biggie - just that I've never had to do anything like that before. I'll post on Wed.

So what you are telling me is that it fits under the driver's seat too? Hmm...Looks like I'll be ordering two of those puppies! That is unless someone posts about the incredible sound quality of the Honda/Kelton sub.

Keep us updated!

Anyone considered a tactile transducer for this application? You could mount it under the seat will take no space from the trunk. I was blown away by a Clark Synthesis tactile unit I auditioned recently. 20Hz to 18Khz freq response....for a tactile tranducer! This thing will eat an Aura bass shaker for lunch, and sounds (feels) amazing, even in the vocal and low mid frequency range.

In an open air roadster you aren't going to get a lot of sound anyways, but I still think I would prefer a subwoofer to just vibration. Then again I haven't tried out anything but the auras.

Couple things. 1. How does this Clarion thing really sound?! 2. Does it actually do anything?!(even using 2 of them!) 3. Why not do Bass Shakers. Hopefully my demo car will be at S2KDays!!!
4. If you want bass then ditch the spare tire and cram in a BIG A** 10" sub in its spot! Its gotta play pretty well there.(just get AAA to help ya out or call home for the pit crew!)
