Subwoofers
I just say the clarion for $ 206 on the web, search yahoo with "clarion psw 160"
seems like a great deal to me. I bet it blows away the one from the dealer if its anything like other dealer stereo stuff - overpriced and shit.

if you take your stock seat out and put in a high chair.
The Infinity unit is kinda bulky, but if you're looking for great SQ and BUMP, it's great. I think it'd fit right in the tool compartment under the spare, or in the spare area. (I don't have the car yet, just going off what i've seen)

I still can't believe that any of these units can deliver any real bass. I've seen the marine units and they sound horrible. Slap your hand on an empty corrugated box and you have an idea of what they sound like.
Also, none of the amplified units address the stock stereo's pitiful lack of power. I guess if you like listening to your stereo at stop lights or in the garage, buy one of these subs.
My $.02

here's a couple of pics of my install done a long time ago:
the nice thing about this setup: (1) it didn't cost an arm and a leg to put in (oh yeah, rockford fosgate components are in the cockpit); and (2) i can still take out the sub for the added space
cheers

I was about to do a custom installaton with a new head unit, mb quarts mounted where the stock speakers are, a sub box in the tool well, amp on the right of it, a capacitor and the mb quarts crossovers on the left. But one thing stopped me, weight. Doing this installation would mean adding ~100lbs. Now I noticed lost of people on this board have considered every little thing for weight reduction, so for anyone who actually did stereo upgrades, did additional weight ever cross your mind?
