a moose hitting an S and a baby deer hitting a race car are hardly the same as an S hitting a deer.

glad ur ok, and i'm +1 for just hitting them. with such a short time, its hard to react, but deers are always softer than trees/cement/other cars.

hope u find a good replacement car

should have hit the deer, i know someone personally who hit a deer at 60 and all it did was put a small dent in the hood and crack the windshield

crazy huh?
What vehicle were they in? Possibly an H1 Hummer...or Tank? No, no I know...That monstrosity that's in "Stormchasers"?

that sucks... coming from someone who has hit both, neither one is good.

Well, the deer actually hit me. I stopped in time but while I was nearly stopped (maybe 2 mph) another deer ran into my drivers side door and scared the shit out of me, haha.

My car wasn't as fortunate with the tree... ended up flipping over and landed on my roof.

Sorry to hear. Glad you are ok though

In retrospect, yes, you should've just hit the deer and most likely would have had a better situation to deal with. But how many of us would've actually just went head on to hit the deer if we were to be in the same situation. Really, our first instinct is to avoid which we would swerve away. Anyways, glad you are ok. Good luck with your search for a new S.

Yes, and that's the problem. People "swerve away" instead of "swerve to". You need to be steering toward an escape route, not away from a problem.

And if there is no escape route, then at least don't make things worse. A tree is worse than a deer, generally speaking. Not that deer are any picnic either, as they have a nasty tendency to come in through the windshield.

A momma doe committed suicide on my last car. I swerved to avoid, but was running out of road, so I hit her. Hit the right front at about 40-45mph. Busted my headlight and bent the fender, but the car was otherwise fine.

My thing is that if I have to hit it, I try to have it hit off the passenger side.
