Thumbs up Suggestions for a quality floor jack

Hello everyone! My boyfriend owns an AP1 Honda S2000; I was thinking about buying him a floor jack for Christmas, but I honestly have no idea what I'm looking for in a floor jack and which brands are quality. He has a cheaper floor jack now but his problem with it is that he can't put it under the front of his car (or even mine and I drive a Kia Soul) to jack it up because there's not enough space for the handle to be pumped, so he ends up having to jack it up from the side and put a block under one tire so he can have room to fit it under the front. Here are a few I was looking at that seem to be what I'm looking for, but I thought I'd come here and ask for opinions and suggestions because I'm not completely uninformed when it comes to cars, but I don't know much about this. I'm guessing from the research I have done that he needs a low profile jack, especially since he plans to lower it next year.
Husky 3 Ton Low Profile (this one is out of stock right now but maybe I can find it somewhere else?)
Pittsburgh Automotive 2 Ton w/ Rapid Pump
Alltrade 620479 2 ton Xtra Low Profile

Other gift suggestions would also be appreciated. In the past I've gotten him a hot wheels S2K, and a model S2K. Thank you in advance!! Here's a picture of his car, just because it's pretty :]
This picture is one I had blown up into a canvas print for a birthday present one year.

And here's another where you can see the paint better.

I know that my boyfriend is a part of S2K facebook communities, and I think he may have been a member on here at one time, but as far as I know he isn't active, so some of you may or may not have seen this car before. If you just so happen to know him/have spoke with him online it'd be greatly appreciated if we could keep this quiet! Thank you again!

this one is cheap and will get the job done. Portable so if he needs to take it with him to an event he can do so.

i used this one but i barely got the job done. It was my first time puttin my car up on jack stands but the arm was just an inch too short to jack it up on both sides evenly. I put it perfectly in the middle but for some reason the Passenger side lifted higher than the drivers side. I had to bring it back down and put a block of wood on the jack in order to gain the extra clearance. Other than that its a good fit and plenty strong. First 10 pumps are very cramped but you gradually gain more clearance without having to go from the side.

My '06 is stock suspension height and I have to back up on these to get a low profile jack underneath. Don't waste money on another jack unless you're positive it will fit under the car.

I've been using this one for a couple of years and would buy again. It reaches both front and rear jack points at stock height.

I doubt any floor jack will be able to reach the front lift point without raising the front wheels first. The pump mechanism is simply too tall and will hit the front lip before the lift arm can reach the jack point. All of my jacks are "low profile" and I still need to put a couple blocks of wood under the front wheels to lift it.

If he does not already have a 2 or 3 ton floor jack any of the ones you linked will be a nice upgrade although I prefer aluminum floor jacks like this one because they are about 2/3 the weight of steel jacks.

Another suggestion is something from Snap On like an F80 ratchet or wrenches. If he does not work on cars professionally he probably does not have anything from Snap On and those tools are like Tiffany jewelry for guys.

i will confirm that the Pittsburgh low profile 2 ton jack will fit under an S2k at stock height. look for coupons in the motor trend magazines in the back , sometimes the jacks get discounted.

This. The low profile 2.5 ton will also work but a bit harder to pump than the 3-ton one.

I have the Omega Low Profile Jack. It will reach the front jacking point without any extra effort.

A warning though (I have said this before) this jack is HEAVY. With the over forty inch length of the jack and the over 4 foot handle it is large and may prove to be a storage problem.

My S2000 is stock height. But my track prepared Miata is lower still and the jack works with it also. No boards needed.

I enclosed a picture of the jack.
