Talking sunglasses

the s2k is my first convertible car.. i always thought people with the top down wore sunglasses to look cool, but it turns out you really do need them!

The problem is tho when i wear my sunglasses i feel like i cant see! the sun reflects off the back of them making shines, or i can see my own eye lol, and the contrast is so much that shade is like midnight..

mine are cheap ones, but before i rush out and spend money on a better pair, will it make a difference? are there any styles/brands that are better for this?

I work for FedEx and wear Ray Ban Aviators and absolutely love them. I can see perfectly, especially since my eyes are really sensitive when it's cloudy. I highly recommend then. They run for about $129, I believe. I got em at a discount though from my friend (What an appropriate smiley)

Thanks sounds like it might b worth my effort to go shopping then. I'll just have to take a big torch into the shop to simulate the sun

To me, my Maui Jims are worth every penny. Unfortunately, you need a giant stack of pennies to buy a pair. (And don't even ask about the pair I lost in an waverunner incident)

See if you can find a sunglass shop outside of a traditional mall. Ask the clerk first, but they should let you step outside to "test" a pair before you buy. I've done that more than once.

That's funnier in American English.

I love Raybans too! I tried Oakleys before, but I didn't like the lens on them.

Sunglasses are a requirement for most who drive an S I think. The seating position relative to the windshield is just 'there' where the sun hits your face.

I seem to go through sunglasses pretty quickly (lost/broken/etc.) but luckily none were very expensive or they were free (found a few laying around ). I just received a pair of Maui Jim's for my birthday though and they are REALLY nice. I think having a good pair makes me more cognizant (sp) of the need to be careful with them.

If there is a Costco in your area I would suggest seeing what they have. That's where I buy pretty much all my sunglasses (currently ray ban, but I have bought Maui Jim's and Revo's there before too).
