went out to the races friday night.. saw a red s2000 at a gas station. they were waving for me to come over.. so i turned around and drove up.

it had a bodykit and an exhuast and some stickers from what i could see. the owner, John said he hadn't raced another s2000. so we did a run.. and when i could hear a spooling sound from about couple carlengths back.. i realized he had a supercharger.. they admitted that after the race and said they thought i wouldn't run it if i knew it had a SC. heh.. i'll run anything.

told him about the trip to houston.. sense the street scene in dallas is rather crappy. and he's up for a road trip to houston sometime.. thats gonna kick ass.. 2 supercharged s2000's cruising around westihemer.. 3 once i've got the $$.

i got to drive the car too.. its really loud.. so i don't think i'll supercharge it until i have a daily driver.. but the speed is just like having vtec the whole way up the rpm range. and the torque differnce is very noticable.

they raced a camaro SS and beat it pretty easily.. thats the only other race i saw it in.. only thing thats beat it so far is a cobra w/ a blower. but of coarse theres always something bigger and badder out there.

Why do you think it is so much louder? the supercharger it self?

yeah the SC and the RM racing exhuast.

I suppose a larger exhuast is required for the edditional flow, but more noise - more attention, I can do without...

Is this guy from the plano area?

If he is, he has the nicest S2000 I have seen in person. I also raced him this last sat. from a roll in 3rd gear and pulled 3/4 - 1 car on him by the end of 3rd. I don't quite understand how I did it though. Doesn't the SC give the S2000 somewhere near 280 hp to the wheel? I know that I don't make that much to the wheel and yet I was pulling. Does anyone have any 1/4 mile times for the SC?

If it's the same red S2000 that had it installed at Jotech Motorsports, then I saw it too. I was there last week before it was installed. Just found out today that he dyno'd at 193 hp stock w/RM Racing exhaust and after was 293 hp (Yes, this is at the wheel, not flywheel!). Holy $hit, I'm placing my order in a couple of weeks as soon as I have enough money. I didn't see the front of it, so I'm assuming Insomniak was talking about the oem front lip b/c I didn't see any side skirts or rear piece.

TypeRTurbo98, I'm assuming you have a turbo Type R? If so, which turbo setup are you using and how much power does it have?

HondaGuy: I have a RevHard Stage 2 with about 240 hp to the wheel. Maybe the guy I raced wasn't this guy, because 290 compared to 240 is a pretty significant difference.
