Supercharger blow off valve?

Default Supercharger blow off valve?

Do superchargers have one? and is it audible like the regular turbos? Stupid question..durrrr

i believe with an aftercooler it is. someone correct me if im wrong.

The only supercharger that comes with one is Vortech. It is audible but I don't think it is as loud as a turbocharger would be (due to higher pressure/vacuum). But it is mostly just a *bling* item for superchargers.

SlowS2K has one on his car (Vortech SC) it's pretty loud.

All vortechs have one and they do serve a purpose since the charger is centrifugal. By the way mine is pretty loud also

Yes,the Vortech comes with one and the comptech you'll ned to buy one for it.the higher the boost the more "sound"you'll get.

Both Vortech and Comptech have them. Although the Comptech is a "by-pass" valve. It can be removed and an aftermarket BOV can be used in it's place.

They are called "Diverter Valves"..... when shifting the excess pressure re-circulates back into the intake . It greatly reduces boost lag after a gear shift compared to blow off valves which just wastes the air by blowing it into the atmoshere.
