Supercharging my S2000
Actually, I read guy by the name of mike kim or some thin Kim has an supercharged s2000 and depending where he would start the race (against an m3) he has either barely beat them or beat them pretty decently... for what its worth
I read this on www.audiworld.com... btw my a4 finally sold and im bout 5,000 away from being able to buy an s2k fully in cash!!!

I dont understand the comments about the 2f&f but... MY03 = not cheap enough for F&F in my book....
Im not gonna go race these cars, Im just trying to get an idea as to how fast a Supercharged S would be.. Im not trying to race anyone w a Ls1 or M3...
Geez.. seems like anyone concerned with power for the S2k is "ricing" or some shit like that?

I will try to explain it.
You say: "I have a shiney new iPod. I would like to drive nails into wood with it. What do I need to do to the iPod to make that work the best?"
We say: "Get a hammer, or enjoy listening to music."
Now, you have not yet done this, but the typical response back is: "But I REALLLY want to pound nails."
We say: "Get a hammer."
Response: "You guys suck."
The S2000 is engineered to handle well and deliver strong power to a rolling car. It does VERY poorly starting from a stop because:
A. Very little low-end torqe.
B. To get enough torque to launch, you have to launch at high revs and this breaks things. EXPENSIVE things.
You asked what it would take to beat and LS1, and an M3. Then you say you are not actually going to do it.
If all you want is the bench race, then say you won and you did. Problem solved. The S2000 is a SHITTY drag car. If you want to drag race, enjoy it (I do) but you have the WRONG car for it. If you want to beat an LS1 Camaro, get an LS1 Camaro and mod that. It's cheaper, more reliable in a straight line, go fast parts are cheaper, repair parts are cheaper, and it's faster in a straight line to start with.
Please don't think I am picking on you, this question gets asked about 20 times a week on this board.

I want a supercharger because I want one.. Thats why.. I was just wondering if you can get that kind of power out of a supercharger..
Yes I want to go turbo, but it will be too much money wrapped up in doing it and I think its safer going supercharged..
Plus I didnt wanna start one of those "Should I go Turbo or Supercharge" threads...
I still want to know, can you get that kind of power out of a supercharger??
P.S. - Stito, dont tell me what to do, Ive been around here alot longer than you.. and we both know the Search feature on S2ki isnt the best thing that ever happened

Sell your car, get a Neon SRT4 and spend about $1000 on bolt on mods, you will be running low 12sec all day long smoking 99% of the cars that are on the street including super charged S2000.
Good luck.
