quick question.

i wanna drop the car.. just to even out wheel gap. maybe 1.5"

whats the best solution, that WILL NOT compromise ride quality, or handling?

cheap + suspension don't go well together. The least inexpensive setup that I would ever recommend would be a ground control coilover setup on koni yellows. This will run you around $1000. This isn't that much when you consider you could easily spend $10k on a coilover setup

There is no suspension set up that will lower the car and provide stock handling and stock ride quality. Period.

With 1.5" drop you will be scraping the front of the car often and you will be scraping the inside of your fender wells with the front tires. If this doesn't bother you, go for it. I personally think it sucks.

The Koni/ground control setup is probably the best for the money but I would only do a drop of .75" personally.

I had koni's and they have less compression dampening than stock. This means on the big hits the front of the car would often scrape. I dont know, maybe the stiffer ground control springs would help this.

The KW3 uses 515 lb/in front and rear, If I was going Koni and GC's I think I'd start there, 500 lbs/in front and back.

You had them cranked all the way stiff?

When lowering what other issues arise? I saw comments about putting spacers on the rear driveshafts.

lowered roll center, increased bumpsteer.. the fixes out for these are more like a band-aid. the rear axle spacers are meant to restore the horizontal axel geometry to stock and remove stress on the CV, bushings, axels, etc. They arn't worth the money IMO.. this will be my stance until someone thats lowered can empirically prove something failed because the axles were stressed.

my whole worry is bounciness. scraping is going to happen no matter what.

i dont want to be bouncing all over the place
i had omnipower coilovers o my del sol, and it was STIFF.

Dont listen to them. im lowered on neuspeed springs on stock shocks. i canyon and tracked the car. lowered on 18'' volks. no problems at all. same as stock feel, just lower.
