Default suspension help?

I am looking to purchase a set of kw3 suspension or pss9. I am not sure which one. My car is a 2005 model. I liked the stock alot but would like to take corner a little harder. I really like the kw3 shocks. Is the softest setting close to stock feel, or the pss9 is a better choice. Also this car is a daily driven. Thanks

I'm pretty much on the same boat as well. From what I gathered, seems like more people like the KW's and it will run you close to $2000 The PSS9's are about $1300.

The PSS9's should be more than enough for daily driving.

OEM or koni yellows are good enough for daily driving!! i'd only spend money on full coilovers if i tracked the car or did a LOT of canyon running.

The KW's can be setup to feel identical or even softer than stock. You can also dial them in for tracking.

You're telling me 515 lb/in springs on the KW's feel the same as the stock sub 300 lb/in springs?

Yup, the adjustable shocks make a huge difference! When I first installed mine, I had my compression set to -1.5 and the rebound to I believe -1.5 front and -2.5 rear and the small freeway bumps that my car would normally react to I didn't even notice. So far on the track they seem great as well and can be setup to be quite stiff. I still need more track time with the coils but my first outing with them I was very pleased.

You're missing my point I think. There's no way a 500+ lb spring's going to be as soft as a 300 lb spring. That's the whole point of getting a stiffer spring. I don't care what kind of shocks are on it. I agree, you can adjust the damping down so it's more comfortable soft than stiff but, the springs control the ultimate stiffness of the ride, not the shocks.

I'm not saying the KW's are bad or anything. I'm simply saying, back to back comparisions between the KW and stock will show the KW's always stiffer than stock.

i have the t1r bmax and it s very streetable. it comes with 10k (about 510 lbs) springs. at the softest setting it rides a little softer than stock but if they are at full stiff, it rides like a rock

IMO the KW's are a bit stiff for a daily driver. The PSS9 is likely a better choice.
