Having gone thru one iteration of a suspension upgrade (not fully successful, my system is now up for sale see http://www.s2000online.com/forums/showthre...?threadid=16495 ) I am wondering what other alternatives are out there.

Commercially available there is a bunch of stuff from Japan, but only Tein and Spoon seem to have credible proposals. However, no one in this forum have tried these out.

From Europe there is a Bilstein and a H&R coilover offering, but not adjustable. Koni should be coming up with adjustable shocks soon, but no coilover.

There is feedback in this forum from bespoke Konis, Motons, and Penskes but you have to work harder for these.

There is one option still left out: Honda! They announced a set of more sporty oriented shocks recently. Given that they came out with such a good compromise for the street, do you guys think they could only improve on that? They are not too expensive either...

See them at http://www.honda.co.jp/ACCESS/modulo/s2000.html

Do you have personal experience with them? Is there a specific s2000 application for them?

From what I see at King's site you only get the shocks and you're left out to find upper mounts, springs, etc...

I have had a lot of experience with them from Porsche Club and GT racing. There are other places you can buy Motons from. They will work with stock springs. I ahve a set on order and hope to have them on my car for VIP viper Days. It was between that and a S/C but the S/C has been having problems and is back oredered. They have bump rebound and ride height control. Ride height on this car has a huge impact. If you know how to adjust shocks properley Motons are the way to go. Moton use to be JRZ. A lot of the Gt3 car in Grand Am have either dynamics, JRZ's or Motons. They really know their Sheet! If you ever get a chance to run the s2 at Mid Ohio you will experience the need to have better shocks with more adjustability.
