Suspension "Refresh"
Not sure where to put this...mods feel free to move (not that you need my permission
)
If you were to buy a higher mileage S2000 and wanted to "refresh" the suspension what would you do? I know I could go aftermarket, but I am not sure I really want coilovers. Is there a way to get get the car back to its lower mileage form?
Thanks.

I guess change the bushings as well? Whatever bushings there are
Springs shouldn't degrade. Shocks and bushings certainly can, though. Frame and suspenion mount point alignment can be issues as well, if the car had ever been involved in a collision.
Replacing the bushings is not a simple process. Lots of time with a proper shop press would be required. IIRC, the Honda bushings cannnot even be purchased separately - only as part of new control arms. Aftermarket bushings are available, but tend to be noisy rigid versions. I think Mugen makes a set of hard rubber bushings, but they're crazy expensive.
CR coilovers would be a good refresh IMO. Aftermarket is always available as well, of course.

Bilstein PSS9... better than any versions of the stock suspension. Adjustable height, adjustable damping, smooth and controlled ride. Find someone with them on the car and go for a test drive, you'll be sold.
