Cost you a TON, last two days before a rebuild, and would be completely impractical.

Caparo T1 does something similar maybe.. dosent get all its power until 10k+ rpm so redline would be around 12k ? This seems a little more F1 than an enzo.. maybe swap this motor into an s..

The thought of it is awesome. If I had millions of dollars, I would do it. But I don't, so I will do nothing.
pretty much. the idea is really cool and even if u tuned the engine down to make it more realistic to drive more often.... it's still too costly. i think if it was cost effective - we'd have seen it several times now. i dont even know where u could get something like that let alone the cost. from what i understand they destroy the poor things as to not let the technology get leaked to other teams if something has to be replaced on it.

would be hella cool auto-x project though!

18k rpm redline FTW
$1,000k price tag FTL

Oh yeah, what a great idea. Swap into a street car an engine that idles at almost the same RPM our S2K's hit VTEC, needs a separate portable engine to get started, makes enough heat to roast a pig on the hood, and makes enough noise to get you a citation on the next county, but has zero torque off the line so a stock 350Z could beat you to the next stop light. Go for it!
somehow i dont buy the zero torque thing and getting beat at a stoplight. Those things do 0-100-0 in under 6 seconds I've heard.

Why not swap a Hasselgren Formula Atlantic 4AG in the car? 240hp, 1.6L 10k redline You'll have to rebuilt it every 1000 miles!

Figure of speech. The point was that it will take an insane amount of time, money, and labor to end up with a highly impractical engine just for a marginal increase in street performance over a production engine.
