Default Swapping interior carpet from red to black?

I've read a lot of projects where s2ki owners swap the interior color from tan to black or red? I'm just wondering what this comprises of or how you went about it?

Thinking about doing a swap from red to all black but after looking at this site with the components involved, it seems it won't be that cheap:

I see the obvious two "tubs" where the seats go but are there other components to think of?

I'd appreciate some insight from those who have done this before.....

TIA

Cheapest way to do it is to find someone that will swap their black for your red.

Its not hard to do you have the center console piece early AP1, and the 2 tubs really easy to do.

I'm assuming you mean just the carpets and not the plastic interior pieces.

Definitely easiest to find someone to swap with. There really aren't any other components to swap other than the carpet, door panels, seats, and center console wrap depending on year and color. My 05 came with the red/black interior and I swapped it for all black. It was time consuming and some of the plastic clips used to hold stuff in are a pain to get to but it's definitely not hard. The worst part of the swap was that center console wrap b/c it goes under the radio/bottom of dash. Looking back on it now I wish I had kept my two tone interior. Oh well.

I wish you lived in Florida because I'd swap with you right now. I want red/black for my interior.

I'm in norcal, San Jose so ideally I should be able to find a local swap pretty easily.

Or I may just live with the red/black 2-tone....have to give it some more though. Just checking my options right now
