Switching up from Audi, back to Honda...
Someone made a point above that illustrates my own personal concern with the updated '04. At the expense of going OT for a second, I hope the car's "frantic Banshee on a budget" personality doesn't get watered down (IOW, no VTEC slap, rather a nice linear band) or massaged away to the point where our baby F1's become the darling of south Florida real estate saleswomen, like a Lexus SC430.
If focus groups, not engineers, were behind these changes, then I can definitely see the S2000 becoming this decade's 280ZX. With that in mind, I'd get the '03
in a heartbeat because you KNOW what you're getting there...the car as it was designed to be. Taking away that 6K kick in the pants is like throwing a fig leaf on David.

go check out sierra honda in monrovia and look for John. he's a member on the board and should have a good deal with him. and i would prefer to buy the accessories somewhere else, that way you can save some $$.
By the time you make your decision, rumors about the MY05 will be out with the 2+2 seating and the T-tops and room for 2 golf bags. It will be the S2000zx model.
Buy the 03 and enjoy the classic style and performance.

I am coming off owning and driving an audi tt w/ quattro for the past three years and just purchased a 2003 silverstone w/ red interior to replace it with. I was going through the same scenario of "should I wait and see", and after much consideration it dawned on me that this car , in its present form is so much fun and such a perfect example of what I was looking for that there was no more debate. Stop chasing your tail and pull the trigger.
alexchou,
thanks for the info, i will give Sierra a call.

couldn't say it any better myself, one of these just clicked on:
You may see a pic of my new Berlina S2K next weekend! thanks.
