Default T1R Test pipe installation questions...

What size nuts and bolts do I need to bolt down the test pipe? Also I have a mechinal O2 simulator. All it does is move the O2 sensor out of the stream of exhaust flow (you know the two anti folwer things). I drilled one out and everything seems to fit just have not actually installed the pipe on the car. Does anyone have this done and did it work in the long run? How many miles do you have since the installation? Any check engins lights? Thanks

I can't help you out directly as I have a Berk Technology test pipe, but I used the stock bolts on the header side and used the supplied bolts at the other end. I would imagine the T1R comes with everything needed for installation.

Regarding the simulator, I did not have to do this since the Berk Technology incorporates one by design, but you should not have any CELs using the o2 simulator.

I also have a T1R testpipe installed. You can just use the factory oem bolts from your cat/header to install the testpipe. I also used two sparkpulg non-foulers with one of them drilled out and I have had it on the car for around 3 months and 3k miles with no problems. Just out of curiosity, what kind of exhaust are you running with it?

I have a stock header with a RSR GTII catback. I know for a fact I need some bolts becasue you cant reuse some of them from the cat. I just dont know what size, lenght, etc... Oh by the way did you guys notice much of an increase in HP and did the droning sound lessen?

That's strange, your exhaust must me different from my catback then because I re-used all of the stock bolts. I have a HKS dual on my car and it never really dronned to begin with so I can't answer your question there, it just sounds better overall with more of a deeper growl then just a monotone exhaust note.

Cool, thanks for the help. Anyone know the nut and bolt size I'll need to install the test pipe? I cant reuse the stock ones because they are apart of the cat, I think they are welded to it or something. Not to sure, I have not looked at it in a wile I just know I need to get some nuts and bolts to do the install. Thanks

Also will I need to get any gaskets? My test pipe did not come with any so I don't know... I hate doing an install and realizing you dont have all the parts 1/2 way through. Any help would be great! Thanks and happy new year!

Im trying to remember what mine came with, when i got my t1r 70 system they forgot to supply me with bolts and gaskets so they sent me the bolts and gaskets after, i got 2 gaskets and bolts, but the bolts were kinda cheap and shorter than they should have been, so i just went to home depot and got beter bolts. you just got the pipe so i dont know what you should have been supplied but i think you should have gotten only one gasket for the test pipe-catback connection (the header-test pipe connection dosent need a gasket)
