so what can people do if their taillights are fading? If honda won't honor it, but Strat says they should. I have seen the faded taillights, and it really sucks...especially if you are getting pulled over for it!

**UPDATE**
well i just got in contact with Woodwork, one of the Honda reps here in CA, and he just told me that Honda of Japan wants to take a look at my taillights.
Hopefully when they take them apart and determine that it's none of our faults for the taillight being faded, there might be a possiblity that honda could put out a TSB on the sucker. so everyone cross your fingers.
kind of funny too cause this was the frist time the honda in my area has ever heard of this problem

hey all.. this happened to 2 people i know from this site... both of them had it replaced for free by AHM... its not supposed to fade... just gotta make sure you talk to the right people... do a search on the faded taillight... im sure you'll find the posts from before and the solutions they got...
you could always take out the small bulb from the taillights to keep it from fading too.. (notoriousjap told me this )

this happened to my taillights on my 2000 as well...i went to the dealership to talk to the service manager, but he wouldn't do anything about it.
then i called up american honda extended warranty, but the guy said it was a "ware issue" and that they don't cover lighting equipment.
then he transferred me to America honda themselves, and i spoke with a service rep and told him that my lights were fading and that i thought it was a safety hazard. he called up my local dealership to have me go down and show the service manager and "top" service manager the problem. then they reported back to the service rep from american honda.
after a week or two, i got a call back from the service rep stating that my taillights would be replaced as a "one time goodwill". my dealership got the taillights within 2 days and installed them for free!
i may have gotten lucky with my service rep, but it is true that they don't hear about this problem too much.
