There is absolutely no need for them on a s2000 without a roll bar or racing seats. They will do more harm then good in a rollover situation.

I definitely would be want to know if either

1. They fit and function,
2. They are refundable.

Dan care to elaborate on your post? How does a roll bar effect the harnessing? And racing seats may work better but the stock seats still have the same functions i.e side bolsters etc.

simple
no rollbar=no harness

the OEM seatbelt compresses your body in the event of a roll over
-a racing harness does not, unless you have a roll bar/cage

now.. I know this isn't an S2000 but you will understand the point if you are over 5' tall.

This picture shows that it can happen to anyone - well in this case it was two guys at a track and they were able to lean towards the center and walk away scott free. Install a harness and your body will be pulled out by the coroner if something like this were to happen. The stock seatbelts allow you to drop to one side if a rollover were to happen.

Lets say you do install this harness in your car - you will not be able to install them "properly", that is, attached to a roll bar correctly. some have tried streaching them down below the seat and that is a big no-no.

Just don't do a harness until you have a roll bar (not roll hoops) installed in your car. Sure the stock roll hoops help quite a bit, but not as much as you will need nor take up any slack for say... soft ground in which the roll hoops can sink into.

hope this helps!
