I remember 1 time i went to the movies and i hate parking there so i parked allllll the way in the back and in the very corner not 1 car near me. after the movie i come out and theres a mini cooper parked right next to me like hugging my spot when there is like 12 spaces between him and any other car. like why do you have to park that close to me i obviously chose that spot for a reason

I have seen too many cars keyed by pissed off people when they saw a car take 2 spaces, even if they were on the empty and far end of the lot.

I only do it at work in the "Cool guy" row. It's 4 or 5 rows from everyone else and it's full of porsches and BMWs. My S is probably the least valuable car there.

My vote for "nice car" parking spaces...and I don't mind walking, either. I've noticed that the "nice cars" (read people that care for their rides) kinda congregate together in parking lots. It is understood that we respect each others properties, and don't want careless fools parking next to our rides. Taking up (2) spaces, though, brings out anger in some people. They probably bristle at what they see as arrogance or entitlement on our parts.

alright well i cant really think of anything worse than having little tiny dings in my S, so yes i do take up 2 parking spaces just about everywhere i go. but i only do this in the back of the parking lots with no one around(i dont mind a little walk to protect my S). i dont take handicap or pregnant spots. haha. i always get made fun of mostly by the gf..i just think shes jealous.

but is this alright? does anyone else park in the back? or am i just crazy...

thanks
No.

It's lame.

There WILL be a time when you think there's plenty of parking... and an influx of people fills out the lot. You'll come back to your car with a nasty dent in the side fender.

It's like when people drive in the left lane "because nobody else is near."

If you care that much, get a set of those magnetic door guards.

Just to clarify, parking in the back "Ok."

Hogging two spaces, not ok.

I park in the back of the lot no matter if i am driving my S or driving my truck

I usually try to get a spot upfront where there may be diagonal stripes next to my spot and no other cars can park next to me.

Or i try to get an "end spot" where I can only have 1 car next to me.

Lame. If the lot's empty in the back, why even bother taking two spots?

I always park in the back and 50% of the time I come out to some old BMW or Honda parked right on top of me.

I hate people.

Cheap car or not , people should respect other peopls property. Door dings are not THAT cheap to remove and do bother some (me) people.
