anyone can compare TeinRA to GC/Koni Single or double adjustables? These are very popular in bimmer community, but I've found that is not the case for S..
Currently I have TeinFlex from the prevous owner, and it sucks for track use. I am looking at either TeinRA or GC/Koni setup.

We have the detail spec of Tein RA in our site, including drop rate range, spring rate,...etc.

Please go to www.ImportTuningGarage.com and select 'suspension' on the left.

I have TEIN RS's, which are about the same; just with separate bound and rebound adjustment. The ride was great and the handling appeared solid and tight, however...

With the factory height settings (lowered about 1.25" Front and 1.5" back, and stiffness at 8 clicks (50%)), the suspension bottoms out in autocrosses and causes bad understeer. After my investment I went from second place finish at the end of 2004 to a seventh place finish at the beginning of 2005.

I have raised the car about 3/4" all around and set the shocks to the softest setting. Unfortunately, the next North Texas Auto-X conflict with a mission trip I will be on so I can't really evaluate the results.

I have found that there is no correlation to how the car feels (or looks) on the streets to how it performs on the track. Plan on several adjustment sessions to get it the way you like. The good thing is that adjustment is easy; assuming you have a good jack and lug tool.

Regards,

Hi guys, Tein RA's are more suitable for the streets since they have a nice ride to them as EDness said. Koni's are bit more harsh, they tend to lean more towards the stiffer side.
