You all must understand that I am extremely picky about my cars. I am scared to go get my oil changed at the dealer due to their lack care for peoples cars. I don't want them to get in and out of my car. Is this bad? I am afraid that they will scratch the plastic around the metal S2000 plate on the door. This is pretty bad I know but I can't help it! I guess that I am too picky. Also, afraid of them scratching my seats and the finish on my car. Help, what do I do? I doubt that Ferrari and Porsche customers have to deal with these concerns most of the time!!

Why not change the oil yourself?
It is very simple.

Take your car to your local Acura dealer. They can do you scheduled maintainance and have experiance with more expensive (and "picky") customers. They cannot peform warranty work, but regular stuff like oil changes should be not problem.

Just take it to Jiffy lube or Grease monkey those guys (i mean kids)are great.

(great at spilling oil all over your engine, overfilling your crankcase, great at forgeting the washer on your drain bolt, etc.....)

I know how you feel but you have to let go of those feelings. Realize that everytime you drive your car as careful as you do you damage it "wear-n-tear" (tires, front bumper/hood nicks etc.) Just parking it in your garage can run risks of things hitting it or falling on it.

What you should be concerned about is everyday driving. You dont want hurt anyone in an accident.

Find yourself a good body repair shop now while you don't need one and if dings, scratches happen you can get it fixed asap.

You're lucky. I've got one that needs the 1-2 grind fix, the seat belt mechanism replaced, and the clutch fix. After reading all the horror stories on this board about the aftermath of these "fixes," I'm having a hard time making the call for an appointment.

Thank god that my service dealership does both Acura and Honda. Shouldn't have anything to worry about there. Still have about 1,700 miles to go before the first oil change.

Jeffrey...likes having free service.

Do not take your S2k to Oakland Honda, if your in the Bay Area. my brother took our s2k to them and almost all of the employees tried to serve my car. Lucky I knew a guy that worked there and he put a stop to that. And when I came to pick my baby up they still asked me to test drive it... Yet thats it!!!!! Beware!!!

Do not take your car to Carr's Honda in Chicago. They did the tsb clutch work on my car and 2 days later the plug in my tranny popped out and spewed all my tranny fluid all over my exhaust pipes.

The smoke screen was very 007ish.....

TebbNSX,

How many people do you think got in and out of your car before you got it?
