Default Test driving this weekend - Need advice

My civic lease is up in Sept. and have been researching the hell out the S. Pretty set on getting one and am planning on leasing. However, the general rule of leasing is to always get the latest model year so that that you are not driving a car off the lot which has already had a year of depreciation under its belt. I am not intending to spark a religious debate on the 2006 and if there is one coming out, but I would like to hear thoughts on this. When does Honda usually announce the new model year? Should I wait or pull the rigger on this years model?

* sidenote - I am stoked about getting an S. I am so gonna autox. :)

Hey man, I can't give a lot of word on the '06, sorry. BUT.... I just bought my 05 in Dec and I could not be happier with anything else on the market. I don't think that you would be doing yourself a disservice to get the 05, you're gonna love it.

I believe the color charts for the 2006 models should be getting to dealers soon. So if you're buddy buddy with a sales rep or someone who owns a dealership they might be able to clue you in on what to expect in terms of production for the 2006 S2000.

I do believe though that you'll be able to get a 2006 S2000. Last I heard, production was already confirmed for 2006 although that could have of course changed.

Only way to know for sure before they're actually announced is to get the color charts though.

Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and 2006 will feature a new color or two

If you want a 2006 you'll be waiting until October, get the car now and don't look back.

Don't lease the 05. BUY the 02. It's got the glass rear window, and It's Faster. They made the car more tame recently to accomodate the car reviewers (the same ones who review the luxury SUV's )

Tame is the wrong word. Civilized may be a better fit. And the performance has not been decreased.

But definitely buy instead of lease!

The S holds its value well, so I vote for a purchase too. And I doubt that waiting for the 06 is going to save you any money. Probably take more money from you, if anything, because the prices increase every year.

04's generally are able to get better lap times than 02's. With that said, I still like my 02
