Offer them 500 above whatever they have in the car. That's what I usually do when buying used vehicles. If they don't think that's fair move on.

Point of reference. I bought my 2002 silver with red interior with 69k miles on it 15 months ago for $11,200 plus $400 dealer fee near Atlanta. Now it has 77k miles. Interior is excellent and exterior is very good. Have not had to make any repairs, just maintenance (fluids, belts, plugs, etc.). I bought it at the end of December 2011, which is a great time of the year to buy a convertible. It was at a VW dealer. I feel I got a great deal. Flew down and drove it back to Ohio.

Is this the red one at hollywood honda? If it is, that's funny as I was actually looking to test drive that one today but plans didn't work out (I probably wouldn't have bought it anyways as I'm still undecided between a BRZ or s2000 and would also prefer a more subtle color). Good luck working it out.

Were you able to get them down to 22.5? I'd like to know the market reference when I start looking more seriously in the coming weeks..

yes i did but it was really hard to. they werent budging but since the car didnt have the convertible cover, the radio ID card (which was in the secret compartment lol), and swirl marks on the car i was able to bring them down. i think i just got lucky though. some other people on here (one is in the first page of this thread) were able to get good deals a well. it really depends on you though and how much the dealer is willing to lose.Best of luck to you sir!
let me know how the hunt goes!
