Default Test Drove 2005

Hey guys... just got back from test driving a 2005 like 2 hours ago and it felt great!!!! Few of my perceptions....

1. When driving, I realized that the driver door is really close to us as compared to a normal car, which is fine, but I have a habit of putting my arm on top of the door while driving, so it was a little weird.

2. Top up definately gets in the way of seeing traffic. While on the test drive, I came to a stop sign that required me to look at like 4 o' clock direction and I couldn't see sh*t. Good thing my dad was with me to let me know if anyone was coming. How do you guys get past that situation?

3. The handling is absolutely SUPERB!!!! It felt so good turning the wheel and not seeing the car roll not one bit. It was like... OMG... so damn awesome!!!!

4. Steering is amazing. Nice and quick. I wasn't used to it so I caught myself turning the wheel to much when it came to a turn and I would have to recorrect. Love the steering!!!!

5. Pedal feel, along with tranny is PERFECT!!!! Felt like I've been driving the car for years the way I was handling the shifting and clutch. It was great.

6. VTEC... well... let's just say... ADDICTING!!!! That sums it up pretty much for that.

7. Last one... abnormally dark in the car. I went for a night test drive, mind you I've only sat in an S2K once for like 2 sec. So I was looking for the window button, mirror adjustment button... couldn't find a thing. Had to turn on interior light. I looked for a DIM adjustment, but couldn't find it. Is there even one on board?

All in all... definately all out sports car!!!! Great power up top (down low is un-powered, but expected, stiff, nice snug fit in cockpit. Nice clear view of the road and just all out fun to drive. Unfortunately... couldn't get the top down and plus it was a little cold.

I reserved a White/Black 2006 by the way...

Andre

Put the top down. Learn to enjoy the cold. If you're driving this car with the top up ...

Glad you enjoyed it. I test drove a 2005 before this past summer. I was torn between an RX-8, a used BMW 3 Series, and a used Porsche Boxster. After just ONE drive in the S2000, I knew it was for me. Nothing out there was going to touch what it had to offer. I completely skipped test driving the 350Z as well. I knew that an extra 400 pounds, numb steering, and a chassis architecture shared with like ten other road vehicals weren't going to steer me in that direction.

The view with the top up isn't horrible. You just have to be a bit more careful when changing lanes. Top down is phenomenal. The sound, the air, the view. Smitten. 110% smitten.

Good color combo too! I have yet to see a white S2000 in person. Seems like Silverstone and red are all that I see in town.

Glad to hear you liked it. You will love it when you have your own and can put the top down.
