Test pipe combined with comptech exhaust?

The header ticking isn't very noticeable at idle, but driving along anything that can echo back makes it very noticeable. I passed an 18 wheeler today and that even echoed!
The ticking isn't a negative - just a characteristic of the header. You don't hear it in vtec, just when cruising next to something.

i thinking adding a testpipe to most exhaust will make it sound louder, better, and more agressive.

thats what all my buddies said. when ever i left campus they would call me and ask if i drove off bc they could here me across campus. then the cops started harassing me

so what i am understanding that basically putting on a testpipe on the HKS dual is a no no 
i just want to make sure i didnt pick a bad exhaust cause i like my HKS now but now i am skeptical about puttin a test pipe on it
