2 things
1. I am getting 30 Highway and 25 city on an 01 S with 60K miles. Megan Test pipe. No my gas mileage did not drop.

2. Where is the catalytic converter on Harley? Where is the catalytic converter on an airplane that comsumes 1000 of gallons of gas a day.

just a question
is inhaling 'test-pipe' fumes in any way detrimental to one's health? besides the unpleasant odor

No, in fact listening to classical music in conjunction with sniffing fumes out of an exhaust supposedly increases memory and IQ.

No decrease in gas mileage here. Could it be bad gas? We recently had the ethenol crap in gas which robs performace + MPG's.
I am using Bp/Amoco 93 octane.

I have no clue whats going on, but I am driving to Illinois this Thursday so I will report back and let you guys know what kind of highway mileage I get. Previously I was getting 28-29 mpg highway.

Could the mileage change be due to the colder weather here?

Is your testpipe diameter larger than your exhaust diameter?

I believe so. I have the Berk TP, which is 63mm. I am running it with the stock exhaust. Do you think this has anything to do with gas mileage>?

Sounds good with stock exhaust btw.

Syncmaster,

Did you have any experience with winter season last year, or is the car new to you this year?

The issue you're seeing *could* be coincidental with "winter gas." The formulation of most gasolines changes in winter to accommodate lower temperature vaporization.

However, this is a strange coincidence with the installation of your test pipe.
