I have the berk 63mm tp and it did change the exhaust note. It gave it a little more grunt I guess you'd say, but it's not very noticeable.

The only time i notice soot on the rear bumper is when it has been raining and I've put in a good bit of miles. When the drops on the rear bumper dry I have little black spots.

The smell is deff. noticeable with the top down. When you have been getting on it and pull up to a light, you get a nice big "swoosh" of exhaust smell.

I've never noticed it on my clothes afterwards though, nor has my girlfriend.

So the sound increase isn't really that much? If so I won't even bother.
I don't care about soot or smell, I've driven cars with off-road pipes for years, i LOVE the smell. If it's not going to make it noticeably louder I don't even want to bother though, not like it's going to give a huge power increase either.

sit in a car (top down) behind your car at a light for about a minute, then smell your clothes. It smells like you've been in a garage with an old car or motorcycle running.
lol who cares about the people behind me? as long as I don't smell

if your looking for loud like you stated before try and get your hands on a veilside teardrop. believe me, im the same way in thinking that there IS nothing too loud. be careful with the test pipe tho, makes some exhaust sound like crap while it compliments others very well. youll just have to experiment around but i would suggest a kakimoto full mega n1 + tp + intake + stock header. that was my favorite sound that i ever got out of mine

Berk or Invidia

The berk is 63mm and the invidia is 70mm. I don't really think there will be much difference between the two with the stock exhaust, with an aftermarket the 70mm might be a little louder.
