Default Test pipe without tune?

I recently purchased an invidia dual and was looking to cut down on the drone with a test pipe. I'm going turbo in the spring, but will likely go with the greddy kit, so it would be a bit of a waste to spend money on engine management now. That being said, if i go with a megan resonated test pipe will I run too lean? If so whats my cheapest option to tune with as a temp. solution? I dont see all of the used VAFC-II's that I hear so much about. My S is a daily driver/only vehicle so cutting down on the drone is a bit of a priority at the moment. I have a stock car other than the catback, has anyone ever blown an engine from a test pipe causing their car to run to lean? especially in an NA application?

when you start putting on intake/exhaust/TP, your A/F ratio increases slightly right? what does the ECU actually do to "adjust"? does it add more fuel to try to match the original A/F ratio?

your stock ecu will adjust but when you install it all you should reset the ECU and drive around a bit to let it learn.

you don't really need to get a tune unless you make a big change like FI or stroking the motor or something like that. but getting a tune could maximize your gains.

just disconnect the negative battery terminal and let it sit for like 15 minutes. it'll let the ECU learn faster I THINK (please correct me if i am wrong).
