Default Test pipes

What do you guys think of test pipes?

I'm not inclined to overpay for what is essentially just a piece of piping.

I'm looking at T1R and Comptech. Any other ideas or recommendation as to which of the two I should go for?

My exhaust gets here monday or tuesday so I kind of want to order the T-pipe by tomorrow so I can get it all on at once.

Thanks

i have never looked into it specifically for the s2000, but for most cars you can buy the flanges and then have them welded to a piece of pipe by a mufler shop. it should save some money, and aside from coatings or other ad ons it shouldnt be any different than buying the test piepes that the after market has to offer.

i know there are a lot of people that think homemade mods are heresy on the s2000, but its a piece of pipe for christ sake.

Why buy when you already have a straight pipe with flanges on them... and looks.... exactly like a cat...

That's pretty cool, I'd consider it if I weren't in Cali.

The reality is that someday I'll need to put my cat back onto get smoged and if i gut it I'll have to buy a new one which I'm sure will run me more than a test pipe.

get the T1R. 99 bucks!
you cant beat that. and its a straight through. which to me is very important. i have a J's, but thats cause im a picky sucker. you will see several with resonators in them, look through them and see all the lips and rough edges in there.... talk about flow disruption. bad idea.
and look up the mechanical sim. youll like the Tp. lates dave

I also suggest one without a resonator.

Cool, thanks S2kracka. I'd seen this one locally, it was cheap but not this cheap.

Does anyone know of any T-pipes with 65mm diameter. If there are none I may have to go with the Megan.
